WebAnywhere

WebAnywhere is the name of a Internet based program that allows blind and reduced sight people to use the web, without the purchase of $1K in software that has been typically needed.

As we continue to use technology to reach people with emergency management messages, the challenge of not being able to target people with disabilities has been a significant one.

Many blind people don't have the resources to purchase the expensive software needed to use the web, so this tool produced by Jeffrey Bigham, a doctoral candidate at the University of Washington (that's Udub in Washington speak) developed the software that has received a lot of attention recently.

There is a YouTube demo on the web site.
